4、 FPC wiring process



The surface treatment process used for FPC cable is generally gold deposition, occasionally anti-oxidation. However, the anti-oxidation process can not withstand high temperature, and the environmental bearing capacity is worse than that of gold precipitation. The prices of both are similar. Therefore, most of them adopt gold precipitation process. In addition, there are processes such as tin plating and tin spraying, but the temperature resistance of FPC is generally below 280 ℃, while the temperature of tin spraying will be above 300 ℃, and the hardness of solder paste is small, so it is rarely used.



5、 Advantages and disadvantages of FPC cable

The use of FPC can greatly reduce the volume and weight of electronic products, which is suitable for the development of electronic products in the direction of high density, miniaturization and high reliability. Therefore, FPC has been widely used in aerospace, military, mobile communications, portable computers, computer peripherals, PDAs, digital cameras and other fields or products. Disadvantages:



In the process of producing products, cost should be the most important consideration. Because the soft fpc is designed and manufactured for special applications, the initial cost of circuit design, wiring and photographic plate is high. Unless there is special need to apply soft fpc, it is better not to use it in a small amount of applications. In addition, since a lot of energy has been put into it, the later maintenance is also necessary, so soldering and rework need to be operated by trained personnel.

Storage of FPC cable

First of all, the vacuum of FPC flexible circuit board cannot be damaged. When packing, a layer of bubble film needs to be wrapped around the side of the box. The bubble film has good water absorption, which plays a good role in moistureproof. Of course, moistureproof beads are also indispensable.



Secondly, after the box is sealed, the box must be stored in a dry and ventilated place separated from the wall and off the ground, and also protected from sunlight. The temperature of the warehouse should be controlled at 23 ± 3 ℃ and 55 ± 10% RH. Under such conditions, PCB boards with surface treatment such as gold deposit, electroplated, tin spray and silver plating can be stored for 6 months, and PCB boards with surface treatment such as silver deposit, tin deposit and OSP can be stored for 3 months.
