1What is FPC cable

3FPC cable composition and parameters

The middle is generally a line, because FPC cables need a certain flexibility. Therefore, the base material is generally calendered copper, which is resistant to twists and turns and flexible.

4FPC wiring process

The surface treatment process used for FPC wiring is generally gold precipitation and occasionally anti-oxidation. However, the anti-oxidation process can not withstand high temperature, and the environmental bearing capacity is worse than that of gold precipitation. The prices of the two are similar. Therefore, most of them adopt gold precipitation process. In addition, there are tin plating, tin spraying and other processes, but the temperature resistance of FPC is generally below 280 , while the temperature of tin spraying will be more than 300 , and the hardness of solder paste is small, so it is rarely used.

5Advantages and disadvantages of FPC cable arrangement

advantage:

Using FPC can greatly reduce the volume and weight of electronic products, which is suitable for the development of electronic products in the direction of high density, miniaturization and high reliability. Therefore, FPC has been widely used in aerospace, military, mobile communication, laptop, computer peripherals, PDA, digital camera and other fields or products. In addition, it can also be arranged arbitrarily according to the spatial layout requirements, and move and expand freely in three-dimensional space, so as to achieve the integration of component assembly and wire connection.

Disadvantages:

In the process of producing products, cost should be the most considered problem. Because soft FPC is designed and manufactured for special applications, the cost of circuit design, wiring and photographic plate is high. Unless there is a special need to apply soft FPC, it is better not to use it in a small amount of applications. In addition, since a lot of energy has been invested, later maintenance is also essential, so soldering and rework need trained personnel.

Storage of FPC cable

Different from other products, FPC flexible circuit board can not contact with air and water. So how should we store this product correctly? I believe you will find the answer after reading the following contents.

Firstly, the vacuum of FPC flexible circuit board can not be damaged. When packing, a layer of bubble film needs to be surrounded on the edge of the box. The bubble film has good water absorption, which plays a good role in moisture-proof. Of course, moisture-proof beads can not be less.

Secondly, after sealing the box, the box must be stored in a dry and ventilated place with a partition wall and off the ground, and avoid sunlight. The temperature of the warehouse should be controlled at 23 ± 3 and 55 ± 10% RH. Under such conditions, PCB boards with surface treatment such as gold deposition, electric gold, tin spraying and silver plating can generally be stored for 6 months, and PCB boards with surface treatment such as silver deposition, tin deposition and OSP can generally be stored for 3 months.
